OG has developed a software solution to optimize timber transportation logistics from forests to processing facilities, benefiting both forest owners and local transport companies. The tool helps forest owners estimate and map timber resources, while offering transport companies an easy-to-use platform for planning and managing deliveries. It features real-time data input, GPS tracking, and route optimization, enabling more efficient transportation. The system reduces no-load truck kilometers by streamlining operations, improving resource management, and addressing the logistical challenges of handling diverse timber types from multiple locations.

Recent land use changes have led to the abandonment of rural forest areas in Spain. The Rustic Property Management Platform helps manage plots, connect owners, and facilitate transactions, offering tools for inventory, profitability, and fire risk analysis.

The project aims to add value to unique wood types from Catalonian forests by innovating processing, marketing, and distribution. Through the "SingularWood" initiative, it offers minimally processed, high-quality wood for craftsmen, enhancing market value and supporting local forestry.

The PRI.FOR.MAN project developed a Decision Support System for shared forest management, using national forest inventory and LiDAR data to map resources.

The OG-FOR.TRACK project developed a modular Decision Support System to simplify Precision Forestry practices, transferring research-based methods to forestry companies using GIS, remote sensing, spatial modeling, and algorithms integrated into Decision Support Systems.

The Do.Na.To project tested a rapid method for analysing Douglas fir roundwood in order to classify its timber for structural uses, in order to create the conditions for a more profitable use of Douglas fir in Italy.

Development of methodologies to enable companies to identify areas of higher value.

For the first time, structural grading tools for Spanish beech wood have been developed. Both visual and mechanical grading methods will enable its use in structural products like beams, pillars, and glued laminated timber.

A new LVL product using Spanish beech veneer has been developed, aiming to enhance the beech wood value chain. Tests show improved bending strength and stiffness compared to sawn timber, confirming the material's suitability.

For the first time in Spain, mechanical grading tools for maritime pine wood have been developed, enabling classification into C24 and C18 classes. These tools improve classification speed and accuracy.
